1. Introduction
Alora Group LLC (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the alora platform (the “Platform”), accessible at alora.now and related subdomains. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you access or use the Platform. By using the Platform, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Platform.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information in the following categories:
2.1 Information You Provide Directly
When you create an account, set up a profile, or interact with the Platform, you may provide your name, email address, account type (Explorer or Guide), profile information (including insurance personas for personal or commercial coverage), assessment responses, policy details (carrier, policy type, expiration dates, premium amounts), professional license information (for Guides), company name, years of experience, areas of specialization, state licensing information, reviews and ratings, messages sent through the connection system, and any other content you voluntarily submit.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you use the Platform, we automatically collect device and browser information (type, operating system, screen resolution), IP address and approximate geographic location, pages visited, features used, and time spent on the Platform, referral URLs and navigation paths, and cookie and similar tracking technology data. We use analytics services to understand usage patterns and improve the Platform experience.
2.3 Information from Third Parties
We may receive information from authentication providers when you sign in using third-party login services, and from payment processors (such as Stripe) when you complete transactions through the Platform. We do not receive or store full payment card numbers.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to operate, maintain, and improve the Platform; to create and manage your account and profiles; to match Explorers with Guides based on assessment results, tag profiles, and coverage needs; to facilitate connections, messaging, and data-sharing between connected users; to display relevant assessments, coverage topics, and educational content based on your profile; to process payments and manage subscriptions through our payment processor; to send transactional notifications (connection requests, assessment completions, policy reminders); to detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues; to enforce our Terms of Service and protect the rights of users; to generate aggregated, de-identified analytics to improve Platform features; and to respond to your inquiries and provide customer support.
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:
4.1 With Other Users
When you use the Discovery feature, limited profile information (name, profile type, assessment highlights, and key dates) may be visible to Guides browsing the Explorer directory. When you establish a connection with another user, your shared profile information, assessment results, and (with your consent) policy details become accessible to that connected user. Messages exchanged through the Platform are visible to both parties in a connection.
4.2 With Service Providers
We share information with third-party service providers who assist in operating the Platform, including cloud hosting and infrastructure providers, payment processors (Stripe), email delivery services, and analytics providers. These providers are contractually obligated to use your information only for the purposes of providing services to us.
4.3 For Legal and Safety Reasons
We may disclose your information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request; if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the safety, rights, or property of the Company, our users, or the public; or in connection with an investigation of suspected fraud, harassment, or violation of our Terms of Service.
4.4 Business Transfers
In the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change in ownership or control of your personal information.
5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain your session and authentication state, remember your preferences and settings, understand how you use the Platform (analytics), and deliver a consistent user experience. You may manage your cookie preferences through the cookie consent banner displayed on your first visit. Essential cookies required for Platform functionality cannot be disabled. You may also configure your browser to reject cookies, though this may affect certain features.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the Platform’s services. If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or necessary to resolve disputes, enforce agreements, or protect our legal interests. Aggregated, de-identified data that cannot be used to identify you may be retained indefinitely for analytical purposes.
7. Data Security
We implement commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include encryption of data in transit (TLS/SSL), secure authentication mechanisms, access controls limiting employee access to personal data, and regular security assessments. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:
Access and Portability: You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you in a structured, commonly used format.
Correction: You may update or correct inaccurate personal information through your account settings or by contacting us.

9. Children’s Privacy
The Platform is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected information from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.
10. State-Specific Disclosures

To submit a verifiable consumer request, please contact us at [email protected].

The Platform is operated from the United States. If you access the Platform from outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. By using the Platform, you consent to such transfers.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice on the Platform or by sending you a notification.
